8-Week Expressive Arts Therapy Group for LGBTQ+ Individuals

June 22 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

In this 8 week expressive arts therapy group, designed for anyone who identifies as LGBTQ+, we will use the tools of the expressive arts to identify, discover, and heal feelings of internalized homophobia, questioning of queerness, and any other complex, uncomfortable feelings that have to do with being an LGBTQ+ person. With the help of writing, guided visualizations, psychodrama, and the visual arts, we will work to discover the problem stories that we tell ourselves. Transform these harmful narratives into life affirming narratives, and embrace your strengths and resilience! No previous arts experience is necessary or required.

Join Maggie Silverman and Janna Browning Weir for a Healing the Wounds of History workshop where we will explore and process Jewish identity. How can we take steps towards healing personal and collective wounds as Jews, especially during these troubled times? How do we process our feelings about being targeted, yet again?
